Deadly Crash In Sacramento, DUI Driver Arrested

In Sacramento, California, a driver has been arrested for DUI charges. The crash involved two vehicles as the police stated.

An accident happened just after midnight on Monday and took place near Northgate Boulevard and Tanaya Avenue. Four people were injured and taken to the hospital and one person, a woman, age of 28, had suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Antoinette Stewart, age of 27, who caused the crash showed signs of obvious intoxication and had previous DUI charges.

Based on Sacramento DUI law, first offense DUI sentence involves:
Two days of sheriff’s Work Project, a fine is around 2,500 dollars, three years of probation, driver is required to attend driving under influence school and IID installation.
Second offence: driver has to spend four out of ten days in the custody. The remaining period he will spend doing Sheriff’s project work or he will be required to wear ankle monitoring. Fine is around 2,500 dollars, four years of probation. Driver will be required to attend driving under influence school in period of 18 months and IID installation.

 

Third offence: driver will be sentenced to 120 days, where six days he will spend in custody and the remaining of 114 he will have to use ankle monitoring. Five years of probation, fine is around 2,500 dollars, installation of IID is required. Motorcyclist Killed Due To DUI Driver

In Irwindale,CA, a motorcyclist was killed and a driver of the car, who caused the collision between these two vehicles and he was suspected of driving under influence last Friday.

Police officials released a written statement where they said that crash occurred at Longden and Myrtle avenue around 9:15 p.m.

The identity of motorcycle rider was unknown on Saturday morning because the authorities are still waiting for the notification from the family. It is only stated that he was 29 years.


Sargent George Zendejas said that rider of motorcycle had 2009 Yamaha, while the alleged driver under influence was driving 2008 Chevy Malibu. Zendejas stated that two drivers crashed at the intersection. For more information check this out. Motorcycle rider was going north on Myrtle and the Malibu and he attempted to turn from Myrtle to Longdenavenue.
Paramedics arrived shortly and took severely injured motorcycle rider to Los Angeles County – USC Medical Center and official stated that he died shortly after that.
Police released a statement that while they were conducting an investigation, driver of the car who caused the accident was driving under influence.
Pamela Ramirez, age of 23, residence of Baldwin Park, suffered minor injuries and after she was taken care of, she was detained. Ramirez is suspected of driving under influence and causing a vehicular manslaughter, she was taken to Glendora Police Department’s jail.

 

Police said that case is still under investigation and the real cause will be determined later. Based on Los Angeles County booking records, Ramirez was set a bail of 100,000 dollars and her hearing is appointed in Tuesday in West Covina Superior Court.

Tuesday, February 9, Joseph P. Bianco, age or 26, was charged with possession of cannabis and the police issued a local ordinance. The event took place at a traffic stop at Archer avenue. He will have to appear in the local court.

Sunday, February 7, RamunasZetkevicius, age of 27, residence Dove Avenue in Woodridge, was detained due to driving under influence and speeding.

The event took place at the traffic stop in the 600 block of State Street. His court hearing was scheduled on March 11 and he will have to appear in front the Bridgeview Courthouse.


Sunday, February 7, Yahir Avila – Servantes, age of 31, residence Troy Street Chicago, was detained due to driving under influence and because he was transporting alcohol illegally. The event took place at the traffic stop at Archer Avenue and State Street. He will have to appear in front of Bridgeview Courthouse on March 11.

Saturday, February 6, Jillian A. Blondell, age of 31, residence Brunswick Circle in Woodridge was detained, she was driving under the influence of alcohol and without lights when required.

She is to appear in front of Bridgeview Courthouse on March 11.
The legal limit of alcohol in blood in the state of Illinois is .08%. Regarding drivers under 21 years of age, Illinois state doesn’t have tolerance for usage or alcohol or drugs while driving.


If a driver is convicted for the first time for DUI, his license will be suspended for one year, he will have to pay a fine in amount of 2,500 dollars and he faces possible imprisonment up to one year.
